Fear and Anxiety: effective managerial tools or harmful and jeopardizing factors?
Organizational control and supervision are among the acute problems, with which managers are dealing. The main problem is to gain the subordinates obedience towards the managerial decisions, without provoking objections and disputes, which may jeopardize the organization and its stability. In time of crisis or sudden changes when everything depends on fast and accurate response to events, this issue becomes crucial and is capable to determine the survival of organization and its recovery chances. This article, which is a part of extensive empiric research, is an attempt to evaluate the possible advantages of fear as managerial tool. The assumption is, that fear can become an effective tool and provide the managers with ability to gain discipline and obedience, beside the improvement in organization performances.
