Getting Students to Evaluate Student Evaluations

Almost all students at American colleges and universities use student evaluations to rate their professors. However most probably know relatively little about the process and what determines aggregate faculty ratings. This paper uses data from an internet rating site to explore potential econometric applications arising from the student evaluation process. The data both engage students in empirical work and produce some interesting results
