Rezension von Keohane, Robert O.: After Hegemony: Cooperation and Discord in the World Political Economy. - Princeton (1984). Gefragt wird danach, ob Hegemonie eines Staates für die Erhaltung internationaler Stabilität erforderlich ist oder ob im wirtschaftlichen Bereich Zusammenarbeit zwischen Nationalstaaten durch funktionale Kooperation - in der wissenschaftlichen Diskussion als 'Regime' beschrieben - ermöglicht werden kann. Keohane kommt zu dem Ergebnis, daß nach dem Verlust hegemonialer Führung (Beispiel der USA) internationale Regime Desintegrationsprozesse im internationalen System vermeiden helfen. (AuD-Hng)
