How Does an Efficient Arrangement of the Price System in the Swiss Electricity Supply Industry Look?

The electricity supply industry went and goes world-wide through a phase of the Deregulierung and the reduction of national monopolies. In Switzerland uncertainty prevails after the refusal of the electricity market law (EMG) in September 2002, how the industry will develop. Thus the question arises, how an arrangement of the organization and the price system in Switzerland should look, so that as high allocative an efficiency as possible is achieved. In this work by means of realizations from the literature one follows to this question. The target of this work is not to be calculated a value for the prices, but it is analyzed, within which areas by the market mechanism allocative efficiency can be achieved. For the areas, within which the market mechanism does not lead to the efficient result, adjustment models are presented. These are based on the target of the allocative efficiency. Apart from the efficiency is checked likewise, how it can be prevented that must be entitled to the adjusted companies excessive pensions
