Identifying Redevelopment and Other Land Use Changes : No Permits Required

Identifying which areas of a municipality are experiencing redevelopment, zoning changes, land assembly, and land subdivision is of great interest to many real estate professionals. Despite this interest, finding out where this activity is occurring across a large municipality can be quite problematic. Often, the only feasible approach is to attempt to obtain a list of permits containing the desired information from the municipality of record. However, certain permits can be notoriously difficult or impossible to obtain, and even if successfully acquired there are other potential issues related to these documents.
