Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic on M&A Activities in India and the World : A Blue Sky for Opportunities
The majority of market downturns have been caused by the systematic inefficiencies of the economies. This study attempts to examine how the COVID-19 pandemic, an exogenous health emergency, has affected the global market concerning merger and acquisition (M&A) activities. The study intends to gain a pulse on how mergers, acquisitions, as well as other restructuring actions have been used to serve organisational objectives in these historic times by collecting statistical data concerning the global volume of transactions, value, and type. The research attempts to demonstrate how well this shift in financial stability led to a Schumpeterian structural transformation of sectors, though it is to be noted that the entire implications of COVID-19 can indeed not be completely understood due to the market being of volatile nature. M&A will allow businesses to look ahead toward a future enriched in technology and structurally diverse business models as they get ready for the boom which will come after this crisis. So that to examine the potential prognosis of the said M&A deal marketplace in the era of the post-pandemic world, the present research paper highlights the intentional transition taking place throughout the real world
