Implications of the principles of sustainable development for the environmental and energy policies of new EU member states

This paper briefly describes difficulties in implementing the principles of sustainable development in new EU member states and discusses the opportunities and threats involved. It gives recommendations for environmental protection and energy policies consequent on these sustainable development tendencies.
