Importanța fundamentării stiințifice a ameliorării silvice a terenurilor degradate din bazine hidrografice torențiale

The paper synthesis the authors’ speech on the occasion of the workshop on torrential watersheds control, held at the Brasov Forestry Faculty, in April 2012. An efficient approach in designing the solutions for the forest restoration of degraded lands should follow certain steps, starting from the general study of the area completed by a detailed analysis of the site conditions on smaller homogeneous plots. On this basis one can group the elementary plots into operational units for which specific technical solutions are required to be designed and afterwards rigorously executed.
