Infrared absorption of AuAl2O3 thin cermet films: Experiment, Bruggeman model, far and near the percolation threshold
We compare the theoretical calculation of the dielectric function ϵ given by the Bruggeman theory, and the experimental values obtained from the reflectance and the transmittance measured by spectrophotometry in the infrared range (1–50 μm). It is concluded that the diluted regimes are well represented by this theory, but not the middle range concentration, even if some partial agreement is achieved.
