Investigation and analysis of the influence of solar storming on precise positioning by gnss

The nature of this Project has started from an understanding of the error sources that affect GNSS positioning, as well as the details of positioning using code or phase measuring technigues. The ability to be able to visualise satelite positioning in three dimensions as related to the Sun has been essential.Theoretically, the Project has also demanded learning the theory of computing with respect to satelite orbits and their interpolation, date/time conversions, coordinate system conversions anp positional extraction. These in turn have demanded detailed understanding and interpretation of various data file formats and layouts. Only when all of these theoretical aspects have been brought together has it been possible to make detailed computations to arrive at comparative data for analysis.Computation experiments have been concentrated on the developing of algorithms and test data which can later be used to validate special purpose software These test computations have of necessity been extensive, in an attempt to cover all possible configurations.A number of surprises have emerged from the results, especially having regard to the size of the results encountered. Many quations have arisen, and not a few of them remain unanswered.
