Jurisdiction in Electronic Contracts and Torts - the Development of the European Court’s Case Law

This article discusses the latest cases at the EU Court of Justice involving cross-border electronic contracts and torts. The article concentrates on four cases: one decision, one AG opinion and two references. The cases concern three typical situations and their potential to trigger special jurisdiction in Regulation 44/2001 and are connected by one underlying question: when should European courts take jurisdiction in cases involving non-resident defendant websites?
