Lean Production: Implementation Problems - Implementation of lean production systems in the U.S. has proceeded slowly, even though the evidence favors their use to improve quality, increase productivity, and reduce delivery times. The authors discuss sorne of the problems organizations face in switching from mass production to lean production manufacturing systems.
