Linear response theory of electrical conductivity of a plasma and improvements of the Lenard-Balescu equation
A generalized linearized Boltzmann equation is derived for a partially ionized plasma. The collision term is expressed by correlation functions of the many-particle system, which are evaluated using the Green function technique. The collision term of Klimontovich for a partially ionized plasma is improved, and higher Born approximations with respect to the dynamically screened potential are given. The dynamically screened polarization potential is derived for the collision between electrons and atoms.
