Multi-fractal aspects of the fine-scale structure of temperature fluctuations in isotropic turbulence
The multi-fractal aspects of the fine-scale structure of temperature fluctuations in isotropic turbulence are discussed. The characteristic exponent \̂gz for the temperature structure function and the generalized fractal dimension D̂q of the scalar-variance dissipation field are calculated and are shown to compare satisfactorily with experimental measurements.
