Offshoring and the internationalization of employment : a challenge for a fair globalization

The paper presented three related issues. A first objective was to shed light on some of the facts of the employment impacts of trade and investments abroad, including highly controversial themes as off-shoring of the production of goods and services. A second objective was to debate the options for coping with the short term and medium term problems related to the internationalization of employment. A third objective was to discuss the importance of international instruments that could help to introduce a level playing field in trade and promote development.
