On Some Features of the Normative Behavior of the New Russian Entrepreneurs
The list of participants approaching the starting line in the mass economic âheatsâ in Russia today is changing quite rapidly, at least outwardly. Many fresh participants are entering the fray, flying the flags of new economic structures. And when the pace of economic reform quickens, the old norms cannot withstand the pressure of change and begin âto come apart at the seams.â This, of course, is exciting, but it is exciting for people who are not especially farsighted or punctilious. The partial absence of stable regulatory norms and moral standards in entrepreneurial behaviorâa situation of social anomieâcontains a multitude of manifest and hidden dangers, both for the participants who have already started as well as for those who, awaiting the initial results of the competition, are only preparing to make their start.
