Performance of a ground collector/storage system with a thermal trap
The constant flow ground collector/storage system consists of a network of pipes buried in the ground; the top surface is black ened and covered with a thermal trap. For a 0·05 m thickness of thermal trap and for a 0·14 m depth of the plane of heat retrieval, the collection efficiency of the system is ~ 40 per cent when the rate of flow of water is 6 kg/h.
