Problems in Applying Mathematical Methods and Electronic Computers in Planning
In the process of creating the material and technical base of communism, as the Draft Program of the CPSU points out, important scientific problems will have to be solved in the field of planning. Among them, the elaboration and introduction of new methods of planning involving the use of electronic computers is very important. This problem is becoming particularly pressing in view of the ever growing scale of socialist production, the increase in capital investments, technological progress, the need to raise labor productivity to the maximum, and also the formation of economic administrative regions and the reorganization of the work of central and local planning bodies.
