Problems of Digitalization in the Eurasian Economic Union

The transition to digital transformation of the economy is viewed by the EAEU countries as an opportunity to increase the competitiveness and stability of the national economy while joining efforts within the framework of the integration of the Eurasian countries. The research examines the approaches of various authors to the definition of the concepts of digitalization and the digital economy and gives a more comprehensive definition based not only on the technological component, but also revealing their socio-economic essence. The analysis of the Global Competitiveness Index and the Global Innovation Index made it possible to highlight the problems that the EAEU countries have to solve for innovative development, taking into account the wider use of digital instruments to strengthen competitive positions in the global economy
