Purchase Preferences, Digital Payments and Buying Behavior during COVID-19 in Indian States
The spread of coronavirus in the country has raised the need of social distancing. It is recommended that social distancing can decrease the risk of being affected by this virus. The government has implemented a lockdown in India in the month of March, April and May 2020. They also advised people to take necessary measures to prevent the transmission of the disease through maintaining social distancing and using masks. Like at the time of demonetization, the government has promoted use of digital currency, now also they advised people to pay through online available platforms like mobile banking, internet banking and mobile applications. People are buying vegetables, fruits, groceries and household things by paying through digital mode. Not completely by a feeling of protection against getting affected by in the infection of coronavirus is there. Nowadays, everyone is using mobile phones. It is easy for people to pay by using online platforms. This paper has focused on this kind of online available platform and their usage by the people. In this we tried to observe peoples online buying behavior and their preference towards using online available platform for purchase from four states Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh
