Quick appraisal of major project application : broadband and digital sector development in Calabria

The appraised Major Project "Broadband and digital sector development in Calabria" (hereinafter the project) aims to complete the deployment of the optical fibre infrastructure in Calabria Region, in order to ensure access to high speed internet services to local users. The project will involve 363,000 dwellings, 200,000 of which in "passed" modality for 100 Mbps. The final outcome of the project includes a network of 3,950 Km stretching across Calabria and reaching 236 schools and 27 medical facilities.
