Research on the Mechanism of Sustainable Business Model Innovation Driven by Digital Platform Ecosystems

This paper focuses on the driving mechanism of digital platform ecosystems for sustainable business, taking manufacturing enterprises under sustainable transformation in the digital economy as the object of study. The research framework of "digital platform ecosystems - sustainable business model innovation" is constructed. With the platform ecosystems, the empirical research method is used to explore the relationship between the five characteristics of digital platform ecosystems: generativity, convergence, share-ability, modularity, multiplicity and sustainable business model innovation. The empirical results show that the five characteristics of digital platform ecosystems positively affect the five elements of a sustainable business model
