Security and Privacy Challenges in AI-Driven IoT Big Data Analytics
The convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) has offered the legality of big data analysis that could completely transform sectors such as healthcare, transportation, smart cities/industrial automation. However, the integration of AI raises important security and privacy issues due to the distributed, heterogeneous and resource limited nature of the IoT setting. The risks to sensitive data gathered by connected devices include an unauthorized access, data breach, adversarial attacks and model manipulation. The chapter focuses on the security and privacy issues of the AI-driven versions of the IoT big data analytics and focus on the vulnerability of the data acquisition, transmission, storage and inference stages.
