Shear induced structures in charge stabilized colloidal dispersions
The light scattering diffraction pattern from shear ordered colloidal dispersions is presented. By using a spherical screen the structure of the intensity distribution in reciprocal space of particle strings, hexagonal layers of particles and crystals is determined. A complete analysis of the scattering from shear aligned twinned bcc crystals is carried out in reciprocal space.
