Sports and eSports : a structural comparison based on the B/Orders in Motion framework

Lately, due attention has been given to eSports in the academic literature and recent discussions revolve around whether eSports can be regarded as sports. Conceptually assuming that sports and eSports are two entities, we conduct a structural comparison between the two, relying on a theoretical framework of B/Orders in Motion. Apart from identifying an extension to the framework, we provide several theoretical and practical examples to highlight similarities and differences. Furthermore, we reflect that not only borders but also orders are in motion.
