Study on digitalisation of company law
Company Law comprises the legislation that regulates all the procedures related to creation, registration, operation, governance and dissolution of companies. The purpose of EU rules in this area is to:
Enable businesses to start a business within the EU
Provide protection for shareholders and other parties involved in companies' operations
Make businesses more efficient and competitive
Make it possible for companies to do business in different EU Member States and to cooperate with companies in other EU countries
In this field, the current study measures the state of affairs regarding the use of digital tools in company law, with the objective of measuring the benefits, constraints and challenges associated with such digitalisation.
This study offers a detailed analysis of 14 Member States' (Belgium, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and United Kingdom) registration, filing, publication and dissolution procedures and some information (e.g. main authorities involved in company law procedures, recent developments on company registration) for all of the 28 Member States....
