Support services to promote web-friendly business accelerators : final report; Deliverable 5: accelerator
The Accelerator Assembly is a European network that connects accelerators, entrepreneurs and policy makers, in order to strengthen the support offered to web startups across Europe. The Accelerator Assembly was a 13 month project that commenced in May 2013. Over the course of the year the network grew to over 370 members via the online forum, delivered two pieces of research on the accelerator landscape and held the first Accelerator Assembly Conference in Madrid, which brought together over 70 accelerator programmes from across Europe, along with funders and the European Commission, to share knowledge and learning in order to strengthen the support available to web entrepreneurs in Europe. The Accelerator Assembly launched in Brussels on 2 July at the FI-PPP workshop in front of 164 people involved in supporting entrepreneurs across Europe. We delivered a presentation to the audience about the network and used the break time to engage with accelerators and encourage them to sign up to the Yammer Forum.
