Surface Functionalities of Graphene Oxide with Varying Flake Size
The size of graphene oxide (GO) flakes may attribute to changing the chemical composition on the surface, thereby altering its intrinsic properties. The current work explored the variations of surface moieties with four different sizes: 0.3 µm 2 , 0.7 µm 2 , 20 µm 2 and 42 µm 2 , which were obtained with morphological intergrity under controlled fabrication technique. Based on comprehensive analyses, the slight variations in the composition of each chemical moiety were observed, while the fluctuations were found for both edge-to-basal plane (E/B) and carbon-to-oxygen (C/O) ratios with increasing flake size
