It helps in regulating a fair market devoid of any anti-competitive practices that cause harm to the customers as well as the business. Competition law is an essential tool to maintain balance in the market by ensuring that any producer will sell his products in the market only at the price which the market is prepared to bear. Also, to ensure there is a perfect competition in the market whereby the producer is the price maker with no capacity to affect the price by his own unilateral action. But then, every good rule can be abused in today’s market companies have tried different means to manipulate the end result of competition law.
