The Fish-Eye Visualization of foreign Currency Exchange Data Streams
In a foreign currency exchange market, there are highdensitydata streams. The present approaches forvisualization of this type of data cannot show us a figurewith targeted both local details and global trendinformation. In this paper, on the basis of features andattributes of foreign currency exchange trading streams,we discuss and compare multiple approaches includinginteractive zooming, multiform sampling withcombination of attribute of large foreign currencyexchange data, and fish-eye view embedded visualizationfor visual display of high-density foreign currencyexchange transactions. By comparison, Fish-eye-basedvisualization is the best option, which can displayregional records in details without losing globalmovement trend in the market in a limited displaywindow. We used Fish-eye technology for outputvisualization of foreign currency exchange tradingstrategies in our trading support system linking to realtimeforeign currency market closing data.
