The Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act (CBERA), signed into law by US-president on 5 August 1983, was designed to foster economic development in the beneficiary countries of the Caribbean Basin by encouraging greater diversification and expansion of their production and exports. The main purpose of this articles is to evaluate the effectiveness of the trade-related provisions on the export performance of CBERA-countries
