The missile shield: a brief history, the composition and functioning, landing stages

The preoccupation regarding the achievement of a missile- shield is not new, this having as a starting point the 50s of the last century. With the advent of changes in Internationa political – military spectrum, the initial project which aimed only U.S. space was extended in Europe. Now there's a firm decision on the location of the new missile shield, as part of NATO's air defense system, in which Romania will be included too.
