Towards a Generalizable Measure of the Value of a Change in Pesticide Use

This study develops a comparable measure of pesticide risks. Based on revealed preference method an index system is developed for individual pesticides combining the information on different environmental and health risks. A data obtained from a survey of U.S. farmers has revealed that on average the adoption of Roundup Ready soybeans results in reduced toxicity of herbicides.
