Urgent Problems in the Interaction Between Society and the Environment
Man has now drawn virtually all types of natural resources located close to the earth's surface into his activity, and the development of space and the shelf zones of the ocean has begun. Our activity is appreciably changing the natural course of spontaneous phenomena on the surface of the earth, and we are beginning to master the methods of controlling some of these phenomena.
