Water Quality Management in Dong Nai River Basin, Vietnam : Challenges and Solutions
The alarming pollution in rivers of basin, particularly in Dong Nai River Basin (DNRB), has become the major concerns for Vietnamese government for many past decades. However, the involvement of many localities and various sectors make it challenge for managing the water quality in DNRB. The role of national government proves to be more effectively in terms of improvement of water quality protection activities as well as other socio-economic development targets in the basin. Despite of some significant improvements, the inadequate resources and legal framework to address the issues makes their role become challenge. Several priority actions have been recommended as solutions to deal with the situation
