'Why growth rates differ' within India : an alternative approach

The article develops an analytical framework based on the economics of steady and non-steady growth states for explaining variations in growth performance in the context of the Indian economy. It is shown, among other things, that the steady growth contribution of labour accounts for a substantial portion of growth, but it is negotiatively related to the pace of growth in India. (DÜI-Sen)
