Working in the European Community : a guide for graduate recruiters and job-seekers

This is the third edition of Tony Raban's guide for employers, careers advisers, placement officers and job-seekers on opportunities for graduates to work in the European Community member states. It covers all twelve of the member states. The creation of the Single European Market has produced significant changes in job-seeking and recruiting patterns. Many more companies are recruiting graduates from countries other than their own in order to create a European dimension in their operations or to compensate for shortages of candidates in their own countries. Equally, many young graduates are now looking outside their own countries for career experience and career development. The book has a general introductory section which includes information about the problems of international recruitment within the European Community as well as the various rights that citizens have to work in other member states.
