2013 annual conference of the Scottish Economic Society
The conference begins on Monday, April 8th, with four sessions of three refereed papers each and two special sessions geared towards teaching economics at the undergrad and the high school level. The annual SES Policy Forum is to follow. The topic for 2013 will be “Higher Education Financing, Demographics, and Student Mobility”. Tuesday will be devoted to the presentation of new research in 15 sessions carrying three papers each. On the Wednesday, there will be nine sessions of three refereed papers each and further sessions especially designed for PhD students and young lecturers, including a seminar on Econometrics tips & techniques as well as a talk on How to Get Your Article Published by representatives of the publishers of the Scottish Journal of Political Economy, Wiley Blackwell. Wednesday also includes the President’s Lecture as the main event. We are happy to announce that next year’s lecture will be held by Prof. Marcel Gérard of the Université catholique de Louvain on the topic of “Higher Education in a Multijurisdictional Area”.
