2016 Queensland Economics Winter School in Behavioural Economics
The Winter School will provide an opportunity for PhD economics students, early career academics and professional economists to learn about Behavioural Economics. The Winter School will explore how cognitive biases affect decision making by economic agents and what are the consequences for policy recommendations and policy evaluations from these insights. Topics covered will assist PhD students, early career academics as well as public policy practitioners with an interest in the research in this area to understand better how to undertake research in behavioural economics and how to design and test public policy interventions. The Winter School will be led by a leading practitioner in the field, will be taught in an interactive style and rely on examples taken from academic research as well as practical applications of behavioural economics.
