7th European Social Science History Conference (ESSHC)
The conference welcomes papers and sessions on any historical topic and any historical period. It is organized in 28 networks, which cover a certain topic. The Economics Network of the European Social Science History Conference invites session and paper proposals for the European Social Science History Conference. Suggested sessions (preliminary list): - Inequality in human capital acquisition in the 17th-19th centuries, particularly as measured by numeracy - Economic growth and social inequality - Globalisation in history - Welfare state comparisons in the twentieth century innovations: sources and consequences - regulating utility supply (electricity, water, gas, telephone etc.) - game theory in economic history - the role of economic history in modern economics Proposed sessions - bankruptcy in Early Modern Europe - organized by Thomas Safely.
