Africa Economic Summit 2005
The Summit in 2005 presents an unparalleled opportunity as the G-8 will focus the world’s attention squarely on mobilizing the necessary partnerships and resources to improve the plight of Africa. A big push is necessary if Africa is to meet Millennium Development Goals on poverty, mortality and education. The Africa Economic Summit will create an environment where collaboration between governments, Africa’s international development partners, business and other stakeholders can help propel Africa to self-sustaining growth and development that will make aid less necessary.
