Business Systems Laboratory - 2nd International Symposium "Systems Thinking for a Sustainable Economy. Advancements in Economic and Managerial Theory and Practice"
The symposium aims to address the global sustainability challenges by a systemic perspective. Systems Thinking sheds the light to the several interactions between natural and social systems. Knowing these interactions gives a better understanding of the principles that can help solve some of today's most pressing environmental, social and economic issues. The criticalities and the opportunities of sustainability will be faced according to the cutting edge research and practice in the various fields of social science. This multidisciplinary perspective includes: economics, management, engineering and sociology. In particular the symposium will focus on the epistemological, theoretical, methodological, technical and practical contributions of the systemic approach to sustainable development to shape an agenda to address the present global economic and social challenges.
