CESifo Venice Summer Institute 2016: Workshop on "Disrupted Economic Relationships: Disasters, Sanctions, Dissolutions"
In recent years, however, economic relationships have become more fragile. Established relationships appear to be increasingly threatened by various types of shocks, including natural and man-made disasters, the imposition of sanctions, and the dissolution of existing institutional arrangements. In view of increased interdependencies between economic actors (global supply chains), these disruptions seem to be particularly costly and may require appropriate policy responses. This workshop aims to present and discuss recent research on issues related to the disruptions of economic relationships.
