Conference on “Banking models and banking structures”
The financial crisis has brought to light the evolution in banking models over the past decade, and triggered discussions on regulatory intervention on the perimeter of bank activities in the US and in Europe. The conference aims to examine the extent to which banking models and banking structures contribute to financial stability and economic welfare. Six research papers dealing with various aspects of banking models will be presented, followed by a policy panel on current regulatory initiatives chaired by Christian Noyer, Governor of Banque de France.
