European Banking Center and University of Tilburg Conference "Financial Stability: Causes, Consequences and Policies"
The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers in different fields of finance and economics working on stability-related issues. We are inviting submissions of research papers on macro- and microeconomic aspects of financial stability. Topics would include, but are not limited to: the effect of different Regulatory and supervisory structures on stability, including the effect of Basel II, the relationship between market structure, competition, financial globalization and stability, the role of different institutions and markets and their interactions in managing liquidity risks, contagion and spill-over of shocks, the effect of corporate governance structures in financial institutions and markets on stability, the role of financial innovations, such as securitization, derivatives and hedge funds, as well as asset booms, and the interaction of investment and commercial banking.
