Executive Course "Strategies in Global Markets" - Murmann School of Global Management and Economics
Prof. John Stopford, London Business School, UK The purpose of the workshop is two-fold. First, it is designed to broaden your perspectives on the forces that are shaping world-wide competition and how successful companies have adapted and must adapt further in the future. Not only must economic issues be taken into account, but also social and political forces need careful consideration if executives are to avoid surprises. The changes now visible in such important markets as China and India show just how different are the effects of globalization in different regions. The second purpose is to look in greater detail at the agenda for change. This will demonstrate how all the issues can be mapped out consistently to guide your future actions. The agenda will include competitive benchmarking, the design of new structures to handle the growing complexity of managing a global network of resources and the demands on processes to maintain control and continuous adaptation to the dynamic of the markets.
