Financial stability and central banks - Centre for Central Banking Studies
In this seminar, we review how central banks, and the Bank of England in particular, discharge their financial stability and macroprudential policy functions. Topics: - the role of the Bank of England and its Financial Policy Committee in the new framework for financial stability; - identification and assessment of key risks to financial stability; - approaches to mitigate systemic risk, with a particular focus on macroprudential policy instruments and initiatives to reduce structural vulnerabilities; and - new arrangements for financial crisis management and resolution.
