First Economic History Panel: Past, Present, and Policy. International Financial Integration: The Role of Intermediaries
The topic of the first meeting will be “International Financial Integration: The Role of Intermediaries”. Its goal is to review the historical role of financial intermediaries in shaping the patterns of financial globalization. There are no time bounds. Priority will be given to bringing about new facts or data that have a potential for challenging existing views and fostering policy debate. Policy relevant implications will be stressed.
