Fourth International Faustmann Symposium "Forest Economics under Multiple Challenges"
The Themes of the Symposium are: - New theoretical developments of deterministic and stochastic even- and uneven-aged models for better understanding of the economics of forest resources management. - Empirical and practical applications for optimal timber production at the stand, forest and regional levels, including studies on tropical forestry and agroforestry. - Studies that integrate timber production with preferences for recreation, landscape aesthetics, biodiversity and other forest values, including economic studies on forestry and climate change. - Multidisciplinary ecological-economic approaches for understanding forest policy and management and new developments in the forest sector. The Symposium organizers are particularly interested in encouraging both theoreticians and practitioners in the field of forest economics, as well as economists and forest scientists with closely related interests to participate in the Symposium.
