Emerging changes in international and regional health economics have profoundly impacted the provision of health services. The impact of these changes has affected both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of healthcare services. The demand and cost of providing health services have increased in direct proportion to each other. Responding to increasing demand, reducing costs and financing health services has become one of the greatest economic challenges this industry faces to date. Optimal use of resources and consideration of alternatives to provide full healthcare to the community at a minimal cost, is another concern.
